Creative Kit Club February Kit

Tracey and the gang at Uniquely Creative just keep coming up with the most beautiful Kits. February's kit is no exception and here is a little preview of what you can make with all the lovely goodies if you are a lucky subscriber:

The papers in this Kit are a mixture of masculine and feminine and quite versatile.  I hope you enjoy playing with it as much I am.  TFL xx

Hanami Garden Inspo

Hello fellow crafters. I'm just quickly popping in today to share with you a layout I created with the February Creative Kit from Uniquely Creative.  Kaisercraft's Hanami Garden Collection is perfect for some recent photos of our DD's trip to Vietnam and Cambodia. Thanks again to Steve for supplying her Mumma with this gorgeous pic, taken in Hoi An's Old Town.

The products and colours in this Kit are truly beautiful.  Tracey and Kasia have introduced Gold accents into this Kit and the matching wooden embellies make it so easy for me to make clusters on my pages, and you know how much I love clusters! :D

Products from my own stash that I've used are Colour Blast Colour Paste with a Prima stencil on the background which isn't included in the Kit. And the little pearl dots Viva Perlen-Pen in Gold and Black also not in the Kit. Everything else that you see on this page you will find in the Kit.

The little flowers from the Kit are so perfect in colour and size for this.

This is not a layout that you'll find in the February Creative Kit Club instruction/inspiration book, however please feel free to "scrap-lift" the design and all I ask in return is that you mention my Blog, makingacreativelife.blogspot.com.

I hope you get to play with all these goodies. I'm sure there will be more travel pics to scrap very soon but now I'm torn between the Ubud Dreams and the Hanami Garden Collections. Kaisercraft you are killing me!!!! :D     TFL xx

Ubud Dreams January Creative Kit

Well hello again and welcome back.  It's been a while since my last blog update but I tend to get a bit crazy and lazy over the Christmas and New Year period. I can't wait to share with you the new Kit from Uniquely Creative for January. Oh my goodness!! This Kit is I think now my new favourite. The Colours! The patterns! Be still my beating heart :D   How about I just get on with it.....

Can you see what I mean about the wonderful colours?  This is one of the cards that I created with the Ubud Dreams Kit. Simple yet effective and you will find the instructions for this in the Kit. And the add-on Die is to, well....die for :D

And I don't like waste so I used the negative from the above die cut for my next card.

I just love the tiled paper pattern.

In this Kit you will get some gorgeous little glass tiles and a pretty ombre ink pad. This is one of the cards I made using them plus the lovely add-on stamp set.

The Collectables in this Kit are truly beautiful and versatile.

So that's just a small snippet of what you'll find in this KIT. I've been finding it tough of late getting my creative mojo happening but I can't wait for the weekend so that I can grab some photos to create a 12x12 layout with this. And hopefully post the result here for you to see.

PS. These photos don't do justice to the colours in this Kit. You need to see it IRL.

Thanks again for looking xx

Uniquely Creative November Creative Kit Club

Welcome back all!  Another month has rolled around and here it is...the November release of the Uniquely Creative Kit (Note: new website). This month you'll find in your Kit a stunning array of fun, bright products. Here is just a few of the cards that you'll be able to create with this Kit.

Lots of fun colours for birthdays or any type of celebration in this Kaisercraft Party Time Kit.

These colours were very much out of my comfort zone, but once I started working with them it became very easy and lots of fun.

In the Kit you will find a full colour magazine with the instructions for some of these cards plus photos and instructions from all the other Designers.  Here is a Twist and Fold card that was taught to me by one of my dear Slipperhood Sisters, Cheryl O'Brien.

The middle folds out for you to pop in some photos or sentiments for any occasions.

Then folds back up into a neat card-size.  Gotta love that!

Don't forget to call into the Paper Flourish FB page or their Shop and have a look at this very pretty Kit.

Thanks for calling in and I hope you get a chance to play with this stunning Kit. I'm currently trying to get my Christmas Mojo happening, but it appears to be quite elusive. Cards to be made and time is flying. So until next time...xx

Paper Flourish October Kit Club

Happy Hump Day everyone! I hope you are all having some relaxing creative time at some stage this week. It's the 5th of the month again, which means it's Release Day for the PAPER FLOURISH October Kit Club. Tracey has really given us some beautiful products to work with this month and I'm here to share with you some of the projects that you'll see in the October Instruction & Inspiration Magazine that comes with these Kits.

This is a set of mini gift cards that I made with the October Kit, mainly using the Collectables that come in the box of goodies.

And two more cards...

And a layout. Check out the stitched circle stamp with matching die! An optional extra in this month's Kit.

I had so much fun playing with this Kit and I can't wait to create again using the oodles of left overs.
Thanks for looking xx

PAPER FLOURISH KIT CLUB TIME!

Well hello everyone and a huge hello to Spring! Of course with a new month comes a new and beautiful Kit from PAPER FLOURISH. This month's theme is Christmas....I know right! How can that be?!! But it must be faced and why not get your Christmas cards organised or create those overdue layouts from last Christmas before the new one is upon us. So to get you started I'm sharing with you what I've created with the wonderful Paper Flourish September Kit Club.

Lots of frosty blues and silvers in this Kit, which lends itself to more than just Christmas themed projects. You'll find the instructions to these projects and the designs of the other DT members in the Paper Flourish Kit Club September Magazine.

The little wooden snowflakes are just too cute!

Once again, Tracey has gone above and beyond to stock this Kit with so much product. You'll have enough for lots of cards for family and friends as well as your Christmas layouts and more.

Thanks for looking!

Father's Day Inspo....

Yes it's hard to believe that Father's Day is just around the corner here in Australia, so I've had put my head down and rear end up!  I've used this card as my entry in the currenty Mini Challenge on the More Than Words FB page (criteria being to use the word "Best") and I've used left overs from the Paper Flourish August Kit Club

A vintage card with a modern twist using Colour Blast Colour Paste and a cute little stencil from Flutterby Designs.

Plenty of stash leftover from this very cool masculine Kit. Thanks for looking xx

PAPER FLOURISH July Kit Club Release

Good morning and welcome back. I'm finding it hard to get my head around the fact that it is the Release date again for the PAPER FLOURISH July Kit Club. But time is marching on at an increased rate and all we can do is hang on and try to keep up. I feel so privileged to be on the Design Team for Paper Flourish. Not only because Tracey and her Team are super organised ladies, but they do an amazing job in sourcing and collating the best products for the Paper Flourish Kits. This month is no exception and when I recieved all the goodies in this Kit to play with well it was like Christmas! I am so in awe of how beautiful this kit is and I want to share it with you here today.

Here are the cards that I made from this Kit, but I have so much left over that I'll be creating some 12 x 12 pages with it very soon.

This is a fun little easel card. The pack of "Collectables" that come in the kit are perfect for this style of card.

The new Kaisercraft Doily Die is so pretty and great for layering (large doily poking out from behind the top layer).

Check out the roses in this collection! Perfect for vintage projects.

There is also a new Kaisercraft Hexagon stitched die available which I've used on this card. I distressed them a fair bit and then layered them. How pretty is this paper!

I can't wait to play with this Kit some more, so stay tuned :)  For all the details go check out the PAPER FLOURISH JULY KIT CLUB

Thanks for calling in xx

ARTastic June Challenge

Hello again. We're having a beautifully wet Sunday in my part of the World, a perfect day for creating. After studying for the last 9 or so months I have finally finished and have time to get back to entering a few challenges plus lots of catch up scrapbooking to be done. Today I'm sharing a layout I have entered into this month's challenge at ARTastic. I thought this challenge would be a good way to ease myself back into the swing of things, because the criteria is Black, White plus one other colour and here is the inspirational piece of art work by Anna Collins.

I just love those green eyes! However I went with blue as my "other colour" plus I have used the Paper Flourish June Kit Club for this layout as well.

Sorry about the dodgy photo - our weather isn't conducive to photography this weekend. It's a bit hard to see here but I have used the Kaisercraft "Script" stamp (also included in this Kit) on the background.

A bit of layering as well, but overall a very quick and easy page. What I wouldn't give to back at this Resort right now! ....sigh!  Anyway if you are looking for a quick and easy project pop on over to ARTastic's blog and check it out.   Thanks for dropping by xx

PAPER FLOURISH JUNE KIT CLUB

Hello again everyone! I'm sorry it's been a little while between blog posts, however I've been a tad busy with some exciting things happening in my World. I'm here today to share with you one of those exciting things. I have been extremely lucky to have gained a place on the Design Team for the PAPER FLOURISH KIT CLUB.  If you haven't already heard about Paper Flourish, Tracey and the Team run a wonderful paper-crafting shop (and online shop) in beautiful Adelaide (South Australia for my overseas friends) and every month they put together a "craft class in a box". These Kits are chock full of the wonderful brand new Kaisercraft papers plus lots of extras for you to create heaps (and I mean HEAPS) of projects. The Kits come with full instructions if you are stuck for ideas. Here are the cards that I made using only the Paper Flourish Kit Club products for June:

I just love this Kit because of the Travel theme, HOWEVER don't be put off by that. The papers would suit ANY type of outdoor theme.

The colours go with anything and as you can see the Kit also includes some lovely red, slightly glittery, tape to brighten your projects. There are Dies available to go with this Kit as well that can be purchased separately. Here I've used Kaisercraft's "round the world" and "circle mesh" Dies.

Included in the Kit as well is a pack of the famous Kaisercraft "Collectables"!

Here is just some of the Inspo from the Kit Club Design Team:

Now for those of you who are lucky enough to be attending the Brisbane Papercraft Expo this weekend, you can get up close and personal with these lovely projects and pick yourself up a Kit. Tracey and the Team will be there on Friday and Sunday so pop in and say Hello and tell them I sent you :)  Later this month I will be on the PAPER FLOURISH BLOG to share with you a few other little treasures that I made with the June Kit. Also you can drop into the Paper Flourish FB page to keep up with all the news. PLUS if you join the Paper Flourish Kit Club you will have exclusive access to the Paper Flourish Kit Club FB page for lots of info and inspiration.

Thanks for calling in and I do hope you get a chance to check out the Paper Flourish Store (the link is at the top of this post). Until next time...
