Scrap Africa Challenge No. 28

Happy Easter everyone! I hope you are all enjoying your Easter break. We are having spectacular Autumn weather here with clear, cloudless skies & still quite a lot of warmth during the day with cool nights....bliss! Autumn has brought with it exciting times for me in the scrapbooking community. I've been selected as a Design Team member for Scrap Africa, one of my favourite challenge sites. They have two challenges per month, one of which is a sketch challenge. I'm so happy that I'll be working alongside some of the best papercrafters in the business. Scrap Africa is so inspirational and fun, I hope that you get the time to play along.

The current challenge is DISTRESSING WITH A DIFFERENCE. The criteria being that you must use everyday items from the kitchen to distress your project. Remarkably there are many things that can be used. I used the tea-staining technique on my sample (& flowers) as well as the reverse side of a cheese grater to get a subtle embossed pattern on my paper (which is a tad hard to see in this pic). Here is the card the I made:

Note the lovely pleated ribbon from Craft Queen! I do hope you get a chance to play along. Just use your imagination :) Stay tuned for the next Scrap Africa challenge!
