A fantastic little find

Good morning all! Before I get to doing my chores for the day I wanted to share a little treasure that I happened across on the internet a few weeks ago. I've been searching for a decent Ribbon holder for ages & nothing seemed to fit the bill. They are usually impractical or fiddly to use. However when I found this simple & easy storage solution I thought I'd give it a go.

So I contacted the lovely Trish from Ribbon Roll Control http://www.ribbonrollcontrol.com in the US. She is very efficient & helpful, & I was delighted to be told that I was her first overseas customer! My parcel arrived about a week later & here is my new storage system all set up - & very easy to do as Trish has a little video on how to put it all together.

Side view....

I have stacked mine for the moment, but I will eventually mount them on the wall as Trish has thought of everything & has included holes for wall mounting. Finally I can easily see all my pretty ribbons & have them to hand whenever I need them :)
And it seems that I'll have plenty of spare rooms in the near future, so I'm in the process of re-thinking my craft space (hmmm......I may have to make a trip to Ikea) happy days :)

  1. Wow a great idea, I have mine in boxes just high enough to stand spools so I can see the colours. I have so much stuff in my scrap room that I don't have a spare place to mount things on the wall BUT if I did I would choose this system. Thanks for sharing your new purchase.

  2. YAY Jo! Glad you found something that works for you. My wall in the scrap room is impossible to dril into, but then, I'm not a spool person. I put my ribbon in colours in plastic stackable containers. This has worked for me for the past few years. I also tend to get sick of a ribbon pretty quick - so I buy it by the meter rather than a roll if I can. The only rolls I have are white satin and a thin pink satin.
