Time for another Scrap Africa challenge!

OMG!!! Where has the last month gone?! I've been MIA of late due to work commitments and keeping up with Christmas card commission work. As a result November has completely passed me by and I haven't had a chance to enter all the challenges that I had planned. But the beginning of December means there is a new and exciting challenge over at SCRAP AFRICA.  This is a sketch challenge, and what a fun challenge it is!

At first I found it a bit daunting with the large circle and hexagons. But once I got started and put my own spin on it, it all flowed reasonably well.

I really love having a clean, white palette to begin with. I decided to go with circles instead of the hexagons for this page, but I did add some texture paste with a bird wire stencil, so technically the hexagons are present :)

This was such a perfect Spring day and we wanted to make the most of the local Wine Festival. This particular winery serves up the most delicious wood-fired pizzas...yum! Combined with a cheeky white and a pretty rural setting - it all makes for one long, lazy lunch.

I do hope you can find the time to have a go at this challenge. It doesn't have to be complicated and we'd love to see your interpretation. Thanks for dropping by xx

  3. You did a great interpretation of the sketch Jo. I like the Pops of red to match your top and add a festive air. Like you, I was a bit daunted by the sketch initially, but I warmed to it when I found the right paper and photos. :D

  4. I love your take on the sketch. I also get freaked out by all the shapes. Love the arrow things and the stamps looks great. I think this turned out beautifully. I love it.
