Orange Paperie & Co March Challenge

Hello all!  The new challenge, set by Cheryl, is up & running over at Orange Paperie & Co  This month is a doozy - A vintage (b&w or sepia) photo scrapped with non-traditional colours e.g. no browns, creams etc.

Here is my DT example:

This is a pic of my M-I-L when she was very young (far right). It was taken at Taronga Zoo and the lady next to her is her bestie. I loved working with this Kaisercraft pp "Tea Break" collection. The colours are really pretty. The fabric flower was a gift which matched perfectly with the paper...gotta love that! I covered the "Noteworthy" chippie with Liquid Pearls which gave it a lovely texture.

Note the cute yellow heart in the centre of the fabric flower :)

I have handwritten my journalling on a tag and hidden behind the layers of pp.

The metal embellie that I have painted is from The Trinket Track and I've popped some word embellies over it as well as a Websters Pages crystal button.

I had so much fun with this layout and it's a lot easier than you think to scrap a vintage photo with brights :)

Thanks for again for looking. Please leave some blog love xx
