Another Sympathy Card

Sadly, I seem to be asked way too frequently lately for sympathy cards. Here is the latest which I whipped up last week. I was quite pleased with how the colours worked  in this card and I tried to keep the design simple. I hope I don't get too many more requests for this genre :(

Thanks for looking :)

Case #84

This weeks Case File over at http://csicolorstoriesinspiration.ning.com/ is a real beauty. We've been given a fantastic sketch and some wonderful colours to work with.

And of course I can never resist creating a travel page :)

Thanks for dropping by :)

Feminine Birthday Card...

This week I was asked to make a special "girly" card for a friend's sister. When I'm asked to make a "one off" card for a special occasion I do like to go the extra mile and try my best to make it unique. I saw this style on a Stampin' Up! website (Beth Adams) and decided to have a go at it.

A lot of punching and die cutting on this and I also hand made the little roses. I love this colour combo of Daffodil Delight/White/Pool Party.  As you can see I also threw a bit of glitter around - more so on my hands, face and desk than actually on the card :)

Thanks for looking & I'll be back soon with my next Case File for CSI #84 - I so love their challenges!

Orange Paperie & Co August Challenge

The lovely Annette has set a very cool challenge this month over at Orange Paperie & Co "Flowers & Chippies" which are two of my fave products to use. This is my layout for the DT, so pop on over and have a go. A very easy challenge this month :)
The story behind this pic is a wedding my DD attended on the coast (note the stunning backdrop) with her very good friend, last year. They both looked so pretty all frocked up.

The background paper is Double Dot by Bo Bunny in coral - stunning paper! Lots of Gesso, paint, stencilling and ink on this page. I've used two different stencils, the little bits of wheat was created with a Kaiser stencil and the "together in beauty" words were created with texture past and a Crafters Workshop mask. I covered the little chipboard picket fence with Structure paste. I love the effect. A little bit of Washi tape from Craft Queen and Thickers for my title as well. Oh and the brads are from Stampin' Up! (I think they are retired now). The flair button is from Piece of Cake designs.

We'd love to see what you can create for this month's challenge, so don't be shy :)

CSI #83

Another crime to solve over at CSI and I think I've cracked the case (hopefully). I loved doing this page mainly because it's about my DD and her travels and I also love doing travel pages in general. Here is the Case File:

And here is what I came up with:

Click on the pic for a closie. Thanks for dropping by and don't forget to swing on over to Orange Paperie & Co tomorrow to check out the new challenge for August.
