Happy Saturday all! I attended a "Patchwork Pieces" class with lovely the Jane Tregenza http://www.janetregenza.blogspot.com.au/ at the Brisbane Expo in June. I have finally finished it & I enjoyed the process immensely. Because some of pieces are so small, it can be a little bit fiddly but it is so worth the effort. The hardest part was picking & printing the photos!
And a few closies:
Now to find some wall space to put it on. Luckily it is only small :) So tomorrow I hope to produce a Jane Tregenza inspired page with any luck. TFL xx

A Farewell Share...
Sadly it is nearly time to say goodbye to our youngest :( I made the invites quite a few weeks ago, because I knew I would run out of time. I only needed to "tweek" them a tad before sending them out. I also decorated the envelopes with the same pp. I sourced a "rising sun" emblem from the internet to place on the invite as a water mark. The little tag is where the guests names were written. All in all, I was pleased with how they turned out.
Thanks for looking :)

A moment in time
On Sunday I made a mammoth effort to find my mojo. One of the ways for me to do this was to revisit some of the pages of other talented scrapbookers that I really like. So I picked a page by the super talented Julie Winks to scrap-lift. Julie is always good for some inspiration - thanks Julie :) So here is what I created.
This is a rare pic of my Dad when he was a baby - gotta love that beret. I've used some lovely Bo Bunny pp, WOW chipboard & Twiddleybitz chipboard & I've also used a bit of paint & lots of misting. The doily is from Purple Pumpkin which I have also misted. Looking at it now, it really doesn't look anything like Julie's creation but at least it got the creativeness flowing for a few hours which is a major breakthrough :)
Thanks for dropping by & have a great week :)

A fantastic little find
Good morning all! Before I get to doing my chores for the day I wanted to share a little treasure that I happened across on the internet a few weeks ago. I've been searching for a decent Ribbon holder for ages & nothing seemed to fit the bill. They are usually impractical or fiddly to use. However when I found this simple & easy storage solution I thought I'd give it a go.
So I contacted the lovely Trish from Ribbon Roll Control http://www.ribbonrollcontrol.com in the US. She is very efficient & helpful, & I was delighted to be told that I was her first overseas customer! My parcel arrived about a week later & here is my new storage system all set up - & very easy to do as Trish has a little video on how to put it all together.
I have stacked mine for the moment, but I will eventually mount them on the wall as Trish has thought of everything & has included holes for wall mounting. Finally I can easily see all my pretty ribbons & have them to hand whenever I need them :)
And it seems that I'll have plenty of spare rooms in the near future, so I'm in the process of re-thinking my craft space (hmmm......I may have to make a trip to Ikea) happy days :)

Wedding fever
Hello all! After working nearly 40 hours in 4 days I'm surprised I can even function enough to do this post, but I wanted to get these cards up for you to have a look at before I collapse into bed once again. I managed to get them done last weekend for my sweet girl who will be attending a few weddings shortly. I know what you're thinking.....what's with all the cards lately! Well as you may or may not know, my scrapbooking mojo has gone AWOL so combined with working long hours my creativeness has taken a bit of a beating. However I really needed to get these cards made last weekend & I really enjoyed using my stamps & of course the Big Shot.
This first card is inspired by the very talented Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Marelle Taylor. I've taken her lead with the colours (Kraft & W/White) but I've used my new Triple Treat flower stamp & punches & I've embossed some of the petals with white embossing powder. I've also stamped & embossed the envelope.
I used the lovely framelits die on the next card & made it into a tri-fold card - a little tricky to do but worth the effort. The bride & groom are embossed with black embossing powder & I've used Dazzling Diamonds on the bride's veil.
I love the seem binding so much that I purchased it in several colours :) Can't help myself. I also like using black & V/Vanilla together for weddings - quite elegant I think.
Anyway I hope you've had a great week & thanks for looking.

Birthday Card share
Happy hump day everyone! Today I made a card......so what? I hear you saying. Well my mojo as you may know has gone on sabbatical, so to actually sit down & create today was challenging for me. However, given the fact that I will be working full-time for the next two weeks plus keeping the cogs turning over on the home front, I knew that if I didn't get this card made today, well it just would happen at all. Hopefully I'll get some scrapping done on the weekend, but I'm not hopeful :(
The flower is made with the S/U Triple Treat stamp, which at first I wasn't really keen on, but once I used it I realised how pretty & versatile it is. There are two punches that match it, so it takes no time to make a very quick & easy flower. The colours I have used are Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Island Indigo & Whisper White. I also love my new "Perfectly Penned" sentiments stamp set.
So that's it for now. Enjoy the remainder of your week :)

A new Challenge site & a sneak peek!
Nearly the end of another week & what a week it has been. DH is home after surgery & is now on a long road to recovery & I'm trying to get some kind of "normality" into my life seeing as I'm not used to having him at home 24/7, let alone a husband that isn't self-sufficient. Hence my creating time as been dramatically reduced. It's only day 3 & I'm already falling into my make-shift bed a little on the tired side to say the least. But there is some sunshine this week with the commencement of a new Challenge site called the Orange Paperie & Co. And you know how much of a sucker I am for a challenge site. http://www.orangepaperieandco.blogspot.com.au/
Please pop over & visit & become a follower. They are a great bunch of girls & I'm very excited to see what they have in store for us. Oh, and they have their very first Guest Designer for their very first challenge - someone you may know. Here is a sneak peek of the Guest Designer's challenge example:
For the full layout go over to the Orange Paperie & Co & check the Design Team's layouts.
I hope you all have lots of scrapping time this weekend :)
